Nice atmosphere, very nice breakfast, 7 min. Walk from center, staff very professional
Parking too expensive, beautiful lobby but ugly furniture. Estaminet is closed on sunday evening

Unexpected challenges with a smile
The breakfast spread was excellent, and I still think of those lovely croissants! The decor reflects a blend of modern art and historical charm, made every corner a delight to explore.
We faced a struggle with the dinner reservation. The bar menu was limited when they mentioned we should expect full-service dining. Frustrating, especially after previous positive experiences.

The room was both top-notch and brand-new with adjacent the bathroom and toilet in the hallway plus all the modern touches. The daily breakfast was excellent with fresh omelettes and sparkling water and crepes...
The area was poor.

Recommend it for groups seeking charm
The atmosphere is classy and unique, it's like stepping into a well-crafted film set! We enjoyed lounging by the beautifully designed spa area after a long day, felt relaxed and recharged.
It wasn't exactly cheap, still acceptable for the experience overall.

I liked the character and design of the hotel.
The steak I had at the Bistro restaurant was very tough and I could not eat it. Usually steaks in France are good. At breakfast I requested tea and got a pot of hot water and a tea bag. Tea needs to be made with boiling water, not just hot water.

Old world charm combined with great modern design, in a very convenient location. The building is a very well preserved former hospice which has been complimented with modern enhancements and modern artwork. The effect is both traditional and funky. The room was very comfortable and spacious with a goodsized hallway and spacious wardrobe. We loved the modern bathroom espechially the large bathroom and power shower. Service very professional, friendly and helpful - the reception staff arranged for our car to be parked in a local car park and had it delivered back to us when it was time to leave. The bar staff also gave impeccable service. The L'hermitage gives you a sense of history with a luxurious modern touch. The other key advantage was the close location to the Grand Place and great shopping around the cathedral - all a few minutes walk to the hotel.
The mineral water in the room was expensive at Euro 7 for a medium sized bottle. The Euro 19 price tag for the buffet breakfast and the Euro 9 coffee and pastries breakfast, put us off eating in the hotel.

We had a delightful stay at this charming hotel! The breakfast room was stunning with its medieval décor, and the croissants were to die for. the breakfast selection lacked variety. I would definitely come back!

Bar/lounge area is attractively designed. Good integration of modern amenities and design with ancient architectural features. Staff spoke excellent English. Very short walk to restaurants and shopping. High speed Internet access was included.
Parking situation was not good. Best pay for valet parking and forget about it.

Impressive building conversion. Comfortable, with peace and quiet. Good central location so we were able to walk to places of interest. Didn't use the restaurant for breakfast, but had one dinner which was good, and reasonably priced for the quality/service. All staff were friendly and efficient (esp reception). Travelled by Eurostar so cannot comment on parking facilities
Room was a little small for the price but the hotel is a character conversion so that is understandable. We would have had difficulty if we had used room service for any meals,

The staff was accommodating. The kids loved the old chapel.
My children wished for more kid-friendly dining options.

The historic architecture exudes charm, complemented by the spacious rooms that enhance comfort. Dining featured delicious grilled fish, perfectly prepared, while the bar area provided a nice spot to unwind, albeit with steep prices. The room's peculiar layout was less than ideal, and the slow Wi-Fi connectivity was frustrating. The presence of blocked drain smells at times cast a shadow over the experience.
